What's Your Name?

See this precious face.

This is our daughter.

She is 2.5 years old.

We were matched with her just a few weeks ago. When we saw her face, we knew she was ours. That mischievous smile had us wrapped around her finger the first time we saw it.

Many of you have asked us what her name is. Well...we don't know.

We have about 2 weeks to pick a name and get it to our agency so they can begin preparing her paper work for our time in China.

We have really been struggling to pick the perfect name for her. We want it to have deep meaning. We want it to have a family connection, as our other kids name's do. We also want to incorporate her Chinese name.

But you know what God reminded me?

She has a name...

It is Chosen,
Loved,
Adored,
Daughter of the King,
Redeemed,
Valuable,
Wanted.

God called her all of these things when He created her.

And you know what? You all have a name too.

Sometimes as we grow older we forget who we are. We strive to become what the world tells us we should be...skinny, fit, beautiful, young, funny, life of the party, wealthy. But you are so much more than any of that.

You too were created in His image. He has adopted you into his family. So you have been made new and given a new identity in Christ.

"Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine." Isaiah 43:1
