Making This An Altar

I have to say this is a little intimidating....no a lot intimidating. I'm staring at this blank screen with so much to tell you all, and not knowing exactly where to start.

In the bible when someone encountered God in a big way, they responded by building an altar. They wanted to remember what the Lord had done. They wanted to make a mark where future generations could remember what the Lord had done.

You see, guys... I have encountered the Lord in a mighty way. He has spoken big things into my heart, made great big promises, and I have seen him remain faithful to those things.

So just like those long ago, I want to make an altar. I want to remember what God has done in this season of our lives. This season that he called us out of our comfort zone and into the world of adoption. Yes, that's right. If you didn't already know it we are growing our family through adoption. It is a journey that started many years ago and has brought us to this moment. Stay tuned and you will hear all about it.

So this blog is, in a sense, my altar.

It is just like Peter and John said in Acts 4:20, "As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.”

So tag along if you'd like. See what God has already done to take an orphan and make her a daughter. See what he will continue to do in her life, as well as mine.
